Fachinformationssystem Geophysik
The Geophysics Specialist Information System (FIS GP) is another web application developed by LIAG.
It is used to store and provide measurement and evaluation data (as well as the associated metadata) from various geophysical methods. In addition to LIAG data, FIS Geophysics also stores data from partner institutions (companies, authorities, universities and research institutes). In addition to form-based research, the geophysical data is provided via a map application.
As a guest user, the metadata and free measurements and evaluations are available to everyone. Some of the data sets are protected and can only be released to a registered user in consultation with the data providers.
The IT architecture of the overall system consists of a graphical user interface for data management, a web portal with form-based research and map application and a database, which is divided into a general part with infrastructure and metadata of all methods as well as into several subsystems ( Borehole geophysics, geoelectrics, gravimetry, magnetics, temperature measurements of the medium and deep subsurface, seismics, vertical seismic profiling = VSP, aerogeophysics, petrophysics and terrestrial or airborne transient electromagnetics = TEM or SkyTEM) with their measurement and evaluation data .
